I've shot a couple project on RED, but have some questions. When I expose to my eye in the viewfinder or from a monitor, the image never seems to come out exposed the same way when imported to a computer. Is it best, to check your exposure by viewing in RAW?? Is that the most accurate to what you will get??
Also, I shot a scene and when we brought it into the computer, we noticed the blue channel was almost gone. The scene was warm, but there was almost no information in the blue channel. We were doing some VFX work on that, and it made it very difficult to get it right.
And lastly, what checklist do you go over before committing to a shot to make sure everything is going to come out right? Do you look at only a histogram? Or do you look at your RGB separately as well?
Can anyone answer these questions?
Thanks!
