first in the UK maybe....here in the USA I think there have been over 4-5 live 3D broadcasts.....

1 NBA Game
3 Footbal games
maybe more I'm forgetting.....

I don't think they are trying to say they are the world's first broadcast, full stop (they'd be coming in what, 10th? 15th? on that score now).

I believe they're saying they are the first to (1)broadcast 3D (2) on a commercial television station (3) using side by side format.

Take away any of those 3 and it's been done before.

Does anyone know if Sky channel are using a standard side by side or Sensio/RealD proprietary side by side?
