It will not be enabled in the next batch of 25. But it's a firmware update to enable it.

Hi Team Red,

just wanted to remark that i think that it was a bold and good move to deliver the cameras to be upgraded in the field.

In many situations, even with hdcam where you could sync the recorded audio, sound is still recorded separated anyhow.

Speaking of sound, does RED ONE have speaker to hear audio with video playback when that feature is ready. I assume that sound will be heard just through the headphone jack.

We will enable features as we can. We have a plan and all it takes is a firmware upgrade (very easy to do). Audio, 2K @100 fps and Playback are all scheduled for September. They will come as they become ready.

You always have the option to wait for your camera until all features are enabled, although you miss a lot of fun that way.
