Could be possible make the redcine software compatible with control panels such as the tangent device cp200?

doable, but pricey, and Redcine is a onelight, not final grading type of deal.
but shouldn't be hard to do. Plenty more to do in the meantime, however.
But it isn't a highlights/shadow/midtone, lift/gamma/gain approach like traditional coloring tools, either.

Or could use the JL Cooper Spectrum panels? We have been using them with Final Touch and now Color. They are not BMW's, they are Hondas. Not as sext but the price is much more do-able. JL Cooper has started writing some of their own code for FCP, so maybe they can be convinced to write code for Red apps as well?

It'd have to have drivers writtten for it, but again - the controls don't really match up. And really, Redcine, as the Red team has repeatedly stated, is NOT a final coloring solution - just an optimal prep tool.
although I've been getting some fantastically badass results by doodling with Red Alert.
