Okay, today's been a bit quiet. I remember at NAB walking out of the demo, just freaked out about all of this - hanging out inside the RED tent for hours, picking brains, prodding, asking questions, actually touching the cameras and messing around with them a bit - and being utterly exhausted at the end of the day (can't imagine what the RED team felt like).
My point being that I'm pretty sure everyone who got their camera is out doing what they've been dreaming about for the past Redternity - using the camera and figuring it out. I'm sure we'll get some killer stills and footage in the coming days (weeks), but the more I think about it, the more I'm looking forward to LART and the huge scientific treasure-trove of info we'll all be privy to. Yeah, it a bit of a ways off. But seeing as my cam doesn't get built until December, this is all drool-fest for me anyways.
LART's gonna be cool.

Yeah.. us too. The stuff we are doing is by no means a Lart substitute. We just know that you all are dying to get stuff from our initial shoots. Right now, we are purely having fun and learning.

Coming off of a 12 hour shoot today with multiple RED cameras, a first for me, I can only say WOW! AND that the talented members of this community that have volunteered for LART and co-developed the agenda the shared info will most likely be timely and in line with your observation for redusers/owners.

I look forward kenneth to you and the rest of the "super secret test project team" being able to bring your battle hardened RED experience to the LART tests. I'm sure we'll benefit from and hopefully be able to avoid all the obvoius stumbling blocks that you'll discover over the next couple of weeks. But a little bit sad that I won't be seeing a RED this weekend or the next ;)

I am so jealous !
I can hardly wait for my camera. Following the footage has been entertaining the last couple of days but it is no substitute for your own testing. It is a shame the "super secret test project team" wasn't available this week, I think they may be too late.
