Hi all,
I did a quick search on the forums, so I apologize if this has been seen before. But I was finishing up my first major RED shoot in Orange County on RED #16 (Connor) and I was sitting at the John Wayne airport looking out on the runway, and what passed in front of me? A RED logo'd jet.
How appropriate considering the nature of my trip.
Grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics before is slipped into the sky. I assume it's Jim's, the N-number on the plane looked like a RED-style font too.. was pretty cool.
Thought I would share. Pictures attached plus a pic of #16 getting a tech-check in my hotel room the day before the shoot.

Ah very cool! Didn't think to search outside of REDUSER.net =)
So looks like he's had the plane for awhile, and updated it recently with RED badges?

I think it used to fly Oakley logos, I remember way back when someone spotted it in New Zealand while Jim and Jarred were there on the "secret" mission with Peter Jackson shooting "Crossing The Line". Those were exciting days around here... (or was it dvxuser back then?)

LOL
Lovely jet. Part inspiration for the light "Camo" pattern on the Reduser logo..
I love how the camo is actually relevent to the jet and illustrative of its purpose! Great design.

BTW... the camo pattern is the globe. See if you can identify the countries.

We never see any interior pics.... Do you have any you'd be willing to share, Jim?

Yes!
Great livery Jim, one of the best!
how about a ride ;-) I remember the snowboard that was offered as a prize early on, how about a competition for a ride on the RED jet?
Pick me up at ENGM anytime.
I love aircraft, and has been lucky to have one of the larger airlines in Scandinavia as my costumer, flown in the cockpit with R1, no problems with batteries.

That is VERY cool!
The first country I see is Italy, right on the door on the left side of the jet. From that point it points back towards Greece, then into Turkey... Going the opposite direction, we see France and Spain. It is all of Europe on the left side, then folding over the top of the jet we see the northern part of Europe?
I can't tell whats on the right side of the plane.
Its really hard to tell it is a world map, I wouldn't have know that unless you said something.

There are many reasons why I love being a supporter of RED. Badass paint job on their jet just got added to my list.

Can't show the interior (private). But the materials are carbon fiber and violin-amber fiddleback maple... you know, typical corporate style. :-)

I think I am sat somewhere on the spar between the two front windshield segments!
Apparently, the RAF sq. that flies the Global Express in the 'stan have adopted the red jet as an unofficial mascot.

So the interior must be stripper poles, disco balls, and a giant heart shaped rotating bed?

Never noticed that the "camo" was really a map... very cool.

That's the extra kick I liked when I first saw it. The camo is cool, but globe thing is creative.

Well, that explains Jim's amazing prescience in the field of digital cinema.... he's got access to a fully functioning* TARDIS!
* That is, one where the camouflage circuit is fully operational
Hehehe! :)
