Export to tape

Im trying to setup a system that exports r3ds to tape(beta sp or digital) through RedRocket and an aja downconverter. Since I need it is for location, Id prefer to have something compact. Does the macbook-magma or maxx digital mobile combination have the appropriate speed to do it realtime without dropping frames or should I use a macpro?

it will do it, but currently there is no timecode, good audio support or PsF support yet.
