I in addition to many others appreciate the all-naturale approach that has been taken with testing as of yet, but I still think its important to show what the RED camera is capable of in a controlled enviorment.

Sure many people will be shooting in available light if needed, but not by choice. So my request is for something that looks less like a poorly lit d2x photo and more like some kick ass 4k goodness. Please. :pinch:

I for one know that the guys are doing one better. They are using RED. They are in the field and dont have the time to live on this board asking for more footage.

High production value shots are just that - high production value. Personally, even though i dug PJ's short it wasn't indicative of the indies. Lots of light, top DP's, all the movie studio gear etc...

Shooting fast and in an indie style gives more to analyze than all the techturbastion and glossy studio shots, IMO.

Out of all the cameras released these guys are the only ones showing anything and they're getting critized for non-studio shooting ? give me a effin' break. Yes, everyone wants to see this camera be the dogs bullocks, most of all the RED team, but first you have to know how it performs under indie style. And these guys are doing aaight. C'mon dudes, Point the camera at a frickin' beach, city street, futball match, cars, anything besides well lit studio shots.

I want it down and dirty...

Post stuff you would be self-conscious to share with thousands of people who you know will be scrutinizing every pixel.

I would have the ultimate respect for you if you did that...

Right - it's totally a given that it's going to look great in ideal situations. Heck DVX100's look really good with perfect lighting.

You're right, beach, city street etc. Jannard's Indy shot shows a pit crew with black or very dark clothes and white stickers on the car both holding detail.

Not that it wouldn't be cool too see an Oscar level lit scene... that'll come soon enough too.

People asked for rough, natural, unlit stuff... and they got it. We posted stuff before we even tried to figure it out. I'm sure lit stuff will come but come on... complaining already? :)

I would like to see some controlled environment shots too, actually.
It's not complaining, it's just a request.
I want to see both. But I'll think that will come. Now first people want to test the camera, later they will be making their shorts (in the beginning) with it, then I think we'll see more.

Not complaining, just asking for something aside from rough, natural and unlit.
