Great job on the opening ceremonies of the winter olympics. David Atkins did a great job. No small feat having to follow the Beijing games.

Brian Adams, Nellie Furtado, Sarah McLachlan, Joanie Mitchell, KD Lang all great and of course the Great one.

Briliant use of computer projection and combining 2d and 3d. Very moving.
Despite the glitch at the end.

Ditto on the whales, but I fell asleep before the end, the prairie part did me in.
Anyone else getting tired of lip syncing all the singing at events like this? Let them really sing it live for once. It's ok with me that it's might not be perfect, it's live, that's how it goes.

Whilst of course the event featured Canadian artists and performers, David Atkins and his company are Australian. Clearly, he's the world leader at this kind of event.

I guess it should be noted that the opening ceremony was the most watched event ever on Canadian TV, with more that 2/3rds of the country watching it.
