Does anyone know if Emery and the guys from Fxguide are still planning on doing the projectred.net website? I was really excited about their project, but now the website seems to have been taken down.

From Fxguide.com,

"In coming days we will feature stories on RED Alert and how to use it as we prepare training material for fxphd's comprehensive online RED training which starts in October. This training will include lens, production, post and workflow discussion and will allow members to get their hands on greenscreen and test RED footage filmed around the world."

Perhaps they've decided to go that route rather than projectred.net?

They were cameras 39 and 40 I think... so they don't have a camera yet.

It looks like a lot of people will be sharing footage, training and tips though.

Hi guys, the site is being moved to a new server. We have been building the full site for a while now. Launching soon! :-)

And actually Mike and I just came back from LA where Mike took proud ownership of number 22. Ill be receiving mine (#40) in a few days!

Is Scott still onboard with 39 as well?

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with - I'm sure it'll be great.

That's great Emery! I'm so glad to hear that the project didn't fall by the wayside. I just got a little worried when I checked the sight and all I found was a web-hosting placeholder.

Looking forward to the launch!

Scott may help out but his new job has him mighty busy. We have lots of folks with cameras willing to dedicate them to the cause though. No worries on that front.

Yeah - there are about to be a helluvalotta REDs out there. Especially LA and New York. It'll be interesting to see how the rental marketplace shakes out. And content marketplace for that matter.

Will there be a podcast from either fxphd or fxguide on the tests? (Or from MacBreak, for that matter?)
