Can someone tell me how a set of light weight rods interface with the camera. Is it necessary to have the heavy "bridgeplate" on the base of the camera. I'm talking about stripping the camera right down 16mm style. L/w rods, chrosziel box...as well as 11-110 and superspeeds (S16 variety)

Heheh... not everybody who has a camera has an unlimited array of accessories to choose from.

At NAB last spring they were talking about an adapter from the sliding rods in the front to step down to the 60mm light weights. A seperate front mount to light weight like the Chrozeil support on Sony mounts or the ArriSr mount would sure be nice when on Steadi etc where the battery will not be onboard. It will still require the std rods, or upper rods though to mount the magazine....
