hi red minions ,

just a few questions about the red production as a whole

1.what is the warranty life?

2.for hardware upgrades will i have to send the camera back to the States for it to be refitted as i live in Australia and this might prove difficult, what do you think will be the procedure??

3.upon ordering it seems to be a six months or so waiting period for release , will all the latest release cameras be up to date with any upgrades made in the mean time?

4.I ordered the premium production pack before it was announced it would be no longer available in a package as a whole , would i still be entitled to do you think?

Yep, was about to post a very similar set of questions living in Africa (South Africa) where most of my work is in very hostile places, both above and below water, backup becomes hugely important. Also curious about these software upgrades. Are they always going to be free? How many people reading this post have an old Media100 system (as I do) sadly sitting in a store that you ditched in disgust because of the countless ways the company tried to bleed money out of us for years with software upgrades? Not that Red has similar intentions...but as the saying goes, "once bitten, twice shy" Congrats Red team, have been following everything very closely, about to order...
