The tool.

The story.

...............

A story about development of a tool for telling stories.

Vision. Breaking boundaries.
Brainstorming. Networking.
Technology. Rebellion. Evolution.
Independence. Fellowship. Love.

Love to the creation.
………………..

Any type of story about this project would be great, heck if you only took the best quotes and discussions from DVXuser and REDuser,
you'd have a fantastic book, but IMHO this story needs to be told by the art to which it was devoted.

What a circle.

Imagine the audience. Who would this story be for.
Never mind the box office. Creating for the love of it.

How many people waited, dreamed for a tool like this…from industry veterans to the young enthusiasts.
For how many of you heart started beating faster during Ted's “We’re doing something relatively radical..”
at your local FCS2 presentation or when watching “Crossing the line” ?
'Got watery eyes in certain moments ? ‘Been happy for someone else’s success?
(Off course - speaking to the ones who don’t experience this whole project as just another revenue factor.)
How many of you have a personal story to tell, directly related to RED?
Sleepless nights speak for themselves. Countless thank you’s and “fanboyism” exaggerations also.

I don’t see how it could not be told. No fake script or unreal events. It’s all here.
The ups and downs, the plot, suspence, science, art and emotions.
Pretty girls and mad machines included - to balance that "art and emotions" stuff with a dose of testosteron for those who need it :-)

The first movie out shot on RED is the last link in the chain. Full circle.

........................

Closing scene:
Shots of people entering the theatre for the first "Shot on RED" feature, cut with shots of a man approaching Indy racetrack in slowmo.....
background voice:

I love this stuff. I love to shoot.

Few fast shots of different shooters around the world setting up their REDs - on the beautiful sights and different sets…/curtain opening at the theatre/
-and the last shot, attenuated by the strong dramatic music,

- pressing that red button.

Symbolism glorifying moviemaking itself and announcing the start of a new era for multimedial storytellers
- as both technological and philosphycal - true 21st century achievment.
……………..

This is just a subjective ending example and I could picture hundreds of shots, like many of you here, but this is not my story to tell.
I'm tempted to say more, but I won't.

Someone else should be a storyteller.
Do tell it.

………………

.............

They’re out.

Two more days for Europe introduction and finished cameras displayed.

The next chapter begins.

I hope you guys are "capturing" along the way…

..............

Have a nice flight to 'Dam

It would be like Lord of the Rings!

Except it is a camera, not a ring. And Jim doesn't throw the camera into a volcano (although WHAT A SHOT THAT WOULD BE!!!)

Wait a second, its nothing like lord of the rings. What was ii thinking...
<<<shakes head.
