I have several IDX V-mount batteries and a charger. I am assuming being a V-mount they will work with RED? I did a search but didn't find anything.
Thanks!

They will work fine as far as mounting. From what we've been told in the past, they need to be able to carry at least a 50 watt load. I know the 71 watt IDX battery I have will only carry a 30 watt load, I believe:(

Thanks for the reply Matthew. We have a few of the 7's. Here are the 3 V-mount models they sell and how they rate them. It would appear only the new E-14 is powerful enough for RED ONE. The RED BRICK battery is rated at 140Wh. And RED beats them on prices as the IDX is onlining around $600 and the RED BRICK list at $450. GO RED!!!
E-7
Capacity: 71Wh/4.8Ah
Mean voltage: 14.8V
Maximum voltage: 16.8V
E-10
Capacity: 98Wh/6.6Ah
Mean voltage: 14.8V
Maximum voltage: 16.8V
E-14 (new model)
Capacity: 142Wh/9.6Ah
Mean voltage: 14.8V
Maximum voltage: 16.8V

I'd be suprised if the Endura 10 didn't work, I've known cameramen pull up to 70 w/h off of those, same with the PAG L95... But fair point, the RED Brick is cheaper, but 140 watts is in excess of what you can carry on a commercial airline.

Do we know that for sure? The airline carryon limits are fairly detailed and it looks like there are different limits for different specific battery types (eg. there's more than one type of lithium cell construction).
