Currently trying to find a work-around but is anyone else experiencing this? Export Tif or DPX, selected clip, all clips, clips in player, it all doesn't matter, All frames are rendered out as black. File sizes seem appropriate for the resolution selected. 9 megs for the DPX' and 14 megs for the Tifs.
This was also happening to me with v104, I was hoping v.158 would take care of it but I'm still getting similar results.
OSX
4K resized to 2K,
exporting DPX
Thanks!

I just wanted to post a work-around I've found to eliminate the problem of rendered black frames, at least until Deanan has a look to determine what the issue is....
I've found that re-dragging the same clips to the bin, re-applying the grade using copy/paste and then re-exporting seems to render the clips properly.
i.e. no black frames!
In this example I had four clips in a bin, graded, and exported to render 2K DPX's. Render times were faster than usual, file sizes were around 9 megs and completely black. Now those same four shots brought in again, sitting underneath the original ones in the same bin, exported would render fine.
I'll take it for now...

I had the same issue and I though it was because a drive was going to sleep and making the transcode quickly output black clips. This was a batch export from the bin, not the timeline. I then transferred the original raw footage to a different drive and retranscoded. This time after about 14 clips redcine-x crashed and I had quicktimes with periodic black frames. Using the latest redcine-x, batch export from bin at 1/4 res from 4k HD in Prores LT codec. Using 2008 Macbook pro with dual 2.6 gig processor and 4 gigs ram.
I'll try another batch transcode after restarting the computer and see what happens.

We were able to recreate one black frame bug in 158. It's fixed for the next release which should be this week.

Thanks Deanan. I just had it crash again after computer restart. This time after only the second clip and the clips have the same black frames. I'd love that new version as soon as possible. The weird thing is that I didn't have that problem before. I have a feeling it has to do with my settings. Those are the only things that are different.

I'm afraid all the files are about 2GB big.
Do you have a server I could upload to?
Or I'll try to find a smaller one, that doesn't work.

Deanan...
Could you download the file? Did you find out anything?
Kaku Ito said, he could render out with redrocket and rocketcine, but had some corrupted frames.
