Leica M lenses

Any thoughts on weather it will be possible to use Leica M-Mount lenses on the RED01?

I'm psyched out just of thinking of the possibilites of using the RED01 with a noctilux lens!

Another thought: The rangefinder focusing system is a really effective one, does anyone think it could be retrofitted to the RED01? it could be a very effective way to deal with 4k focusing issues (of course this might not be a problem at all with Red's promessed focus assist system).

I sure hope so, I love leica M lenses, but the very short flannge focal distance may preclude their use. Depending on Red's mount design. We will just have to wait and see,

I've never used Leica lenses, but looking at them, they mostly seem to be primes, and mostly have very wide apertures. Things like a 28mm f1.5 sound pretty tempting.

Yeah! My thoughts exactly. I'm eager to find out if the M system is compatible with the RED 01. Any news on that front fine people of RED? Maybe at NAB...
