As someone who makes the majority of his income as a cinematographer, can I write-off movie tickets, netflix, etc? I hadn't thought about it until a couple weeks ago, when I went to go see Book of Eli and found myself very concerned with how they were grading the footage and handling the highlights, etc. It honestly feels like appropriate, nay- NECESSARY research for my field. Anyone have insight about this?
THANKS!

I know a lot of people who write of all their movie tickets as education. I don't get to the theater as often as I'd like, so I don't worry about it too much. But this year that I'm doing more freelance work I think I will be writing off my netflix subscription.

As I understand it, if you own a company, which could be an LLC (limited Liability Company), you can pretty much write off any expenses...meals, purchases..what-have-yous.
