Yeah, The term "Cheap Hotel" obviously has a lower standard in the Netherlands....I was actually a bit shocked yesterday when we arrived.
The Toilet doesn't Flush but the indian piccolo told me that theyll fix it today....yeah right.
The good thing is that there is Hot water, but only for 2 mins at a time.

It's called Manofa hotel.

Polispol,
are you coming at Red User Group in the Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday evening?
Would be nice to meet you there.

well anders, think of all the money your saving on your hotel can go to red!!
if you make it through the stay that is.

Dude, that room is seriously scary. Are you there by yourself? If there's someone with you, the two of you should take turns standing guard while the other sleeps. 2 hour shifts. Eek!

Anders that place rules!
Just for fun you need to pick up a chick and invite her back to your place. I would love to hear about her reaction when she gets there.

Looking at that image i thought about the LCD and the different mounting positions
Is there a way to invert (rotate 180 degrees) the image going to the LCDinstead of rotating the LCD itself?

For nostalgia? or for some really interesting way you need to tell "your" story... ie. lo mode on a steadi cam or fisher/ubange super low shot--- to get the camera as low as possible?

You're terrible guys! Actually as far as the hair cut concerns, it seems we're three, Andrew. Although that picture with those two guys on his back... Stephen, did they know who you are? :-)
BTW, here's the Stephen's post two hours ago on cinematography.com:

«Hi,
I have seen PJ's Crossing the Line trailer on HD & the film projected @ 4k, unbelievably good.
Congratulations to Jim & the Red team, you have IMO delivered what you have promised.
Disclaimer I am not being paid for the above opinion & I don't have a camera on order either.

Maybe when you want to change where it is and not have to change the mounting point from the side to the back of the LCD. If you mount it inverted so the arm is way out of the way and then invert the picture (like an LCD projector on a cieling)

Thank you David, the first part of my post was for the pain (... and pleasure) we have all shared with adapters-- that was for fun... the rest was serious though and I see exactly what you mean. I certainly see where that would be quite helpful to have that feature on camera ( maybe in the metadata for output... including the output to evf, lcd, hdmi, etc.) Could this happen down the road?
Cheers David and I always appreciate your articles... Andrew

I think it would be easiest to build into the LCD with a menu button to rotate the picture, rather than build it into the camera.
Cheers David and I always appreciate your articles... Andrew
thanks!

Hi Brook,
The 2 from the Red booth looked OK, I spent a great deal of time inspecting them, the mount seems very strong.
BTW I saw a collimator on the Century stand, works with a mag light!

I was thinking that the LCD invert would be really useful if you wanted to still the LCD from the top of the camera but get it low enough for hand-held operating. I noticed that the Offhollywood boys were mounting their LCD arm on one of those cage wings down low in order to go handheld with the LCD.
