Hello Everybody,
I am new to this forum but I am actually one of the developers who worked on one of the previous versions of REDCINE-X. I have a couple of questions about remote control of the red one camera.

- Is there any way to power up or shut down the red one without having to manually push the power button? For instance, can you send a signal to the (GPIO) auxiliary power output or auxiliary/RS232 to power it up or shut it down?

- Is there any way to reformat the media without going to the Media menu and using the joystick to click format. For example, can you override what the GPIO port does and then send a signal to the pins in order to reformat the compact flash?

Thank you,
Adam:svengo:

Sorry this is actually a copy of another post. I could not figure out how to delete the original one ...

PRE-RECORD: activates Pre-record. Subsequent triggers start / stop record. Refer to SYSTEM MENU CONTROLS > MEDIA MENU > PRE-RECORD for complete information.
TIMELAPSE: activates Time-lapse. Subsequent trigger activates one-shot or burst recording.
RAMP: initiates variable frame rate ramp speed change.
SHUT DOWN: initiates a controlled camera power down
PLAY CLIP: causes the selected Clip to play back at normal speed
NEXT CLIP: cues the selected clip to end. If at end, cues to beginning of next clip.
