We are international students based in sydney and have the opportunity to shoot a short on a Red w/ Pro Primes.
This'd be my first time shooting on it. But, the DP (a fellow student) has shot a music video or two.

Having previously shot a few shorts (on JVC 201, EX1 and 5D) I've come to realize the format/medium do nothing to separate a student film from a non-student film.
Since we are now shooting on a much more superior camera and may not get another chance soon (once we leave the school), we would like to do the best we can to create a final product that lets the audience focus their thoughts on the story/film rather than make allowances for us being students.

I would like to meet up with some DP's and/or gaffers in the Sydney area and get some insight on cinematography, Red One & its processes and film making in general.

Would any one be interested?
