Got a list of issues creating MXF media in RCX183, and I wanted to see if anyone else is having these.

1st: My media is created with 2 tracks of audio, but track 2 is just a repeat of track 1. In my case, the sound guy mic'd the 2 talent on screen each to a different track. But in Avid, track 2 is just a copy of track 1. Everything comes in fine when I use RedRushes to create my media.

2nd: Debayer madness. I have tried for about an hour to figure out how exactly to repeat this, but I'm having inconsistent results. Basically, when I create an export setting, (ie: MXF/DNx36/QuarterDebayer) it will export my media. Then later, if I try to change the debayer setting it will say its changed, but will continue to export at whatever debayer was previously set. Creating new settings seems to help sometimes, and not other. I've found if I open the setting in RCX158, change the debayer, then open RCX183 and export, it seems to work. But don't hold me to that. Like I said, i kept getting crazy results that were difficult to figure out what was working and what wasn't.

3rd: Whenever I do successfully manage to make MXF media, it has a black bar on the bottom of the frame. The black bar will change in size depending which debayer setting was used. I believe this problem was present in RCX104, and probably would have been present in RCX158 had RCX158 been able to produce MXF media at anything except full debayer.

Anyone else having similar results/problems? Everything I've tried is using DNxHD36, 23.976 and I am Rocket-less.

I really want to stop using RedRushes to create my media, but apparently I'll have to continue to wait....

Update:

I've been able to determine that I only get the "black bar" issue when working with 3840x2160 footage. All my footage that is 3840x2160 came from the same production company/camera. And they've never provided me with any other dimension of file. So I do not know if the issue is with the dimension of file, or camera that created them.

None of my other footage from other companies/cameras have ever been shot 3840x2160.

I'll continue my testing and post answers if/when i find them.

Thanks for the info. The only one we haven't been able to recreate here is the black bar.
