Jim and Graeme: Is there any footage (i.e stills) from the Raw Port recording that you could share with us? I would like to see what this camera is capable of at it's highest end format. That would really give me some perspective on the complete range of imaging. There are some projects that could really benefit from pristine, uncompressed images and I would love to see something captured from the Raw Port.
By the way, I want to point out to anyone who has read my previous post about noticeable compression, that those are observations based on images that have been posted from sources outside of Red, and that I do not have a camera in hand yet to properly test what's coming off the camera in Redcode Raw. So, please take my comments with a grain of salt and know that I do trust the work these guys are doing. I'm merely trying to determine what kind of issues I might run into on certain types of projects where an absolute pristine image will be necessary (think high end compositing work).
