i've just install the RedRocket to the Maxx digital box and first thing that appear when loading Redcine is this message:

" Your Redrocket is in a 1x PCI-EX Lane. The Redrocket requires an 8x lane to perform properly."

Redcine work with the MAxx and the Redrocket, but i only have real time playback with 1/2 debayering.

Whitch MacBook Pro have 8x PCI ? Any way to have full throttle of the MAxx box and rocket card with a laptop ?

regards

No MacBook Pros that I'm aware of meet the requisite 8x PCI standard. But the Mobile REDRocket still achieves very good performance - in my experience often fast as 2:1! You just have to ignore the stock error message and press onwards.

Also, note that with the REDRocket, there is no choice for anything other than full-res debayer. Your transcodes will always be full quality, wether you're using a MacBook Pro or a MacPro tower with the REDRocket. Even with the mandatory full-res debayer, you should be experience performance close to 2:1.

Hope this helps,
