Hello dear Red User,
I'm being a bit confuse with Clip Finder and RCX, when I send my FCP XML (149 clips 9 minutes of editing) ,to RCX, my editing doesn't appear in order on RCX timeline, is it due to limitations of Clip Finder 2.5, or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance

Hi,

To keep the order of the clips in the timeline when sending to RCX do the following:

- enable "import subclips"
- set "merge mode" to "none"
- import clips
- make sure the "Sequence Position" column is visible (in Clipfinder's preferences)
- sort on "Sequence Position" (click on column header)
- send to RCX

Please keep in mind that when you let RCX render multiple subclips Clipfinder cannot currently conform with these.

If you need more info feel free to mail me.
My address is on my website and in the integrated Help Pages in Clipfinder (CMD-?).

Cheers,
Hans

I am encounter an issue that I never had. When sending the scene clips to RCX, there is an error saying that it could not open RCX. Any Reason? In the preferences I made sure to have the appropriate path to the RCX software.

The error reads as follows (no matter what version is being used; I have tried ALL versions with Run Script capability):

Error -1728 occured the runLuaScript(REDCINE-X_build_183, /var/folders/gE/gEJZ+zxUGNaJnOP2cmtthE+++TI/-Tmp-//RCX_export.lua) call: Can’t get menu item "Run Script" of menu 1 of menu bar item "File" of menu bar 1 of process "REDCINE-X".

Yea, I know. I was part of the discussion/troubleshooting thread that lead to the creation of such process. So, I am well versed with it. However, this is the first time I have received this error.

Please, help...

Which version of clipfinder and RCX are you using ?
Is RCX closed or already opened and ready when you send your clips using CF ?

Hello,

I am Using CF 2.5 and I have tried it with ALL last 5 versions of RCX. I have tried both ways, open and closed, with same result, and identical error (except with the RCX version number, of course)

Thanks,

I have also your two softwares, but I am finding inconsistencies on the length of the clips sent to RCX. Always are longer (most of them 12 or 14 frames at the beginning and at the end).

You need Clipfinder 2.5 b3.
You should have received an E-Mail with download instructions a while ago.
I'll send that again.
If you have multiple versions of Clipfinder on your system, be sure to launch the correct version, then open any Clipfinder documents. Just double-clicking on a document might launch the wrong version.

Mail me directly if you need more info.

Cheers,
Hans

Hans,

I never received the e-mail, nor the one you said you will be sending me. I went to your website, and I noticed that I need to receive it since it contains the link to downloaded.

If you can resend it, I will appreciate it!

Thanks,
