Hey guys - working a job with the MX chip and doing the transcodes to 1920x1080 QuickTime files w/ REDCODE compression. Ideally I'd use FCP log & xfer as it's pretty snappy, but the color science is an issue. REDCINE-X drops frames and is slower than molasses. Any suggestions for batch transcoding w/ proper color science?

mr. dauns "clipfinder" 2.5 beta 3 (http://www.daun.ch/hamingja/)

- redcine-x 183 compatible
- multithreading-capable (fcp log&transfer simply isn't)
- loadbalancing (cores/task)
- network rendering (you can work miracles at night in a postproduction house.. ;-)
- lift and stamps (copy paste) your .rsx data from one file to another (perfect for clips of the same set)
- easily conforms offline to online

to mention a few.

imho best prog out there for mangling r3d.

Clipfinder is a great app. However, until Red release a new version of REDline which supports FLUT colour science, Clipfinder is stuck with rendering using 2009 colour science. That is unless you use REDcineX to render, but then most of the benefits you list are not relevant.
