Anyone using a JVC DT-V24L1D Monitor out of the HD-SDI output?
Looks like a good option has native 1920 X 1080 display.

Yes the JVC works very well. As do the Panasonic monitors and Marshall. Lots of choices in relatively inexpensive HD-SDI monitors.
Just had a look at TV Logics high end lcd at IBC. It looks REALLY nice. Only saw it with your typical conference images but tha black level was good and colors looked great. Anyone got experience with these monitors?

The Panasonic is a great choice. They have several sizes, operate as AC/DC, and have an integrated waveform display. For cost comparison, the 17" is $ 2700.

This picture shows our RED camera with a Evin's Panasonic 8" LCD and the waveform active. BH
Probably should have mentioned I was thinking of using the Tv Logic as a grade monitor in post...

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how effectively one can judge 4K focus on an 8", 720 (or less) res screen.

Apparently there's a nice zoom-in feature for focusing, and it works on the HD-SDI output.
And don't forget, Graeme's magic focus assist is coming! Although I'm not sure if it'll work with the HD-SDI output, or just the EVF and LCD...

Cool, I would love to see some of this in action. So far, I haven't read any summary of how this is working in the field.
