hi there,
i'm currently editing some slow mo footage that was shot on a red one at 60fps however i want to use the footage at normal speed. how would i go about converting it to play at normal speed?
many thanks,

Do it often - assuming you are using FCP, we get the best results using Twixtor to speed it up. You can just use the speed controls built into FCP in the timeline, but they don't get you the well frame blended silky results you get with Twixtor even when just speeding it up. Using the FCP speed controls to speed up 60FPS footage even when tweaking the settings dow not get great results for us. Twixtor does. YMMV.
In any case, you are processing a clip in an app outside of r3d land, there is not a way to alter speed (which is adding, deleting and modifying frames) in the R3d itself, obviously. As such, depending on your desired output, you render the r3d out to DPX, Prores, uncompressed, etc and then process with Twixtor or your favorite tool.

can you tell me a bit more about "twixtor"... what exactly is it and where can i get it from?
thanks again,
jack.
