Hey guys is there a minimum system requirement for using Redcine X? I only plan to use Redcine X to grade and export files to use in my editing system.

My system specs are as follows: Windows XP Pro/SP3, Imtel Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3GHz, 4 GB of RAM.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It is difficult to anxwer;Redcinex evolves quickly. For the windows version which is still buggy(the new one is imminent) a station based on I7 920 processor,12 Go ram and 5 raid 5 disk can handle 1/4 resolution with audio non yet enable. When audio will be enable,1/8 resolution will be the standart for realtime,i suppose...

Wow that is one kick ass system Core i7 and 12Gigs of ram. Are you playing back 4K at 1/4? That sounds great, a working system that actually plays r3d files, but what do I know. My system won't even work at all. Thanks for the reply. I hope to build a system that works at least as well as yours does.

What would be great is if Red compiled a complete PC system that they would recommend for editing.
