Red Rocket slower with 2k and 3k footage?

I'm rendering out 2k and 3k footage and find the Red Rocket suddenly a lot slower than with 4k rendering. Play back is fine, it's just the rendering that is slow, I would say about half the speed of normal rendering. I tried with RocketCine-X and different versions of RedCine-X, all give the same results.

Anybody?
