I've been researching a good monitor for editing Red Rocket Footage.
I've read that the HP DreamColor monitor is a good solution when paired with an AJA SDI to HDMI converter (thus allowing 10 bit color through dual link SDI)...
I've stumbled across a Marshall monitor that has dualSDI on it.

The Dual SDI is an optional upgrade to the monitor.
Would some tech savvy REDUSERs be able to tell me if that means that I can go directly from the Dual SDI slots on the card directly into the dual SDI in on the Marshall monitor?... and would that give me 10bit color? Is 12-bit color possible that way, or do I need the breakout box for that?
People keep talking about using the HP Dreamcolor for grading... Is there any reason why it wouldn't be good for straight up editing as well in addition to grading?
Also, I think the idea of the Marshall monitor with swappable inputs is right up RED's alley....
Thanks!
