Hi Guys

We can not get Redcine-x to run correctly on our system. This is what happens

Run Redcine-x, open R3D clips and drag to timeline, Redcine-x crashes and closes.

Run Redcine-x, open R3D clips, drag to bin, from bin to timeline and Redcine-x crashes and closes.

We can not get past previewing in bin when mouse over clip.

System

Windows XP SP3 and tried with SP2
P4 3GB processor intel
2GB ram
320gb main drive
1TB raid drive array
Matrox Pahelia dual graphics card with 128mb ram

We can operate anyothersoftware, metafuse is being used so far, but even that is having issues at the moment which I will post elsewhere.

this is the answer your probably going to get, but...

I am currently running a Dell 1.70 ghz 1.0 gb of Rambus Ram
with windows XP service pack 3.

My first graphics card, a ATI fire gl2 64mb of ram, litterally melted when I kept trying to run Redcine. I could never get any motion, just slight color adjustments.

When it (graphics card) burnt out (RED killed my graphics card :cryin:) I upgraded it to a 512mb Jaton NVIDIA Geforce 6200 low profile.

It actually runs somewhat in Redcine X version 194.

I mean honestly this system is a bit old, and your system is a bit to.

So I would bet you or someone using your system loaded something that is draining resources on your limited graphics etc.

So XP is still running with Redcine-X on my system and besides the graphics
card, my system is a lot weaker then yours.

So order a 512GB ram Nvidia Geforce-"fill in the blank" card you can get for the system you have (don't spend more then a hundred on the card) and see how that does ya.

Oh and trouble shoot you current config if it was working for ya, like I said; something you installed, your brother or mother, or a virus is probably hogging the system.

But both our configs/systems aren't really up to snuff to run what Redcine-X needs. Just sayin ; - )

If known of the above works, time to build a new system.

Hope that helps.
