ipass.. sff8087

this is the setup i was thinking

slot 1: ati gpu (x8)
slot 2: red rocket (x8)
slot 3: 1 x pci express (x1)
slot 4: atto r348 (x8)

can anyone see any problems, i have a very early mac pro where ipass is possible, can I just use a normal sff8087 to sff8087 to connect back sas port on atto to ipass on mac.. can you see any rr performance issues

tips for a 4 disk chasis that is quiet would be appreciated (sas or 4xesata)
