Is anyone doing this? Will you get even faster transcode times in RedCine-X with 2 rockets? I'm about to test it out, but I'd love to here thoughts on the matter if anyone is already doing it. Deanan? Thanks.

Not yet but it is something we're looking at next.

But could you run 2 instances of say rocketcine-x (or RCX) and have them controll separate cards - as an intermediate bridge to speed up renders...

Wow, even at Full Debayer 1080 Renders, the RR is pretty damn fast.
Maybe the cost of the RR should be cut in half ;)

I know you're referring to RC-X, but just for general info...
SCRATCH supports multiple rockets, and two rockets *dramatically* speeds up render times.
With properly configured system/storage/etc., SCRATCH can render from full rez 4.5K MX -> DPX at around 60fps.

Hey Gunleik, how would one do that or set that up? Have you tried running 2 cards at once. That would be the way to go for 2 camera on set transcodes!
