How soon until we can shoot 2540p at 60fps and above to Compact Flash? Just curious. Since 89% of what I shoot is music videos, that would make my day. :)

You will never see above 4K above 60fps. That is the limit of the sensor clock speed. And the rest... you have a tall order.

Someday we will all be shooting 4K at 2000fps with 18 stops of dynamic range while recording for 2 hours on Compact Flash. Do you mind if we take a few more weeks to figure that out? :-)

Eh, I think people will want to see a majority of the stories told in 2d for as long as there are people around to watch them. 3d is fun for the occasional action movie.

I know you are busy but 4k 48fps will be so juicy.

I agree about that. I love that with film you get so much exiting and emotional power, just by an image and sound, without all the extra fancy stuff.
3d makes it more of an attraction, like from an amusement park from me, but not really a 'film' anymore.
That's only my opinion.

All I know is that when we hear about the pocket professional - whatever it is - I'll have a reservation or two down that morning at NAB. Though something tells me a few folks at RED will beat me to #6. :)

.. never forget the 1 extra frame per second for us over here... :cold:

Can you switch to over/undercranking on the fly with RED, or do you have to stop recording?

Somehow, some way, someone is going to figure out how to shoot 60fps 4K REDCODE RAW "onboard" by next summer.
