Now that the first Red cameras have been delivered, there must be a Red user manual included. It would be interesting to be able to download it and have a more detailed view of the camera.

Hmm, it's still probably a work in progress, as the team at Red are still working on getting the features online...

there's probably not much you could put in the manual that isn't already on this forum, except for exactly what combination of buttons to press to get to a certain menu...

there have been several threads asking for this. So far my impression is the initial manual that shipped is incomplete (as were the initial cameras) and the red team is working on improving it before wider dissemination.

If you're going to publish a physical manual, then you need to do it right to maintain the "Red" image. Whatever you do, please make sure that it is not only reviewed by your technical people to be correct, but get some right brained people to read it to see it they can understand it as well. Spot color is often more effective than four color and saying the same thing twice, once from a right brained editor and then from a left brained one and you should have a better manual.

Early Photoshop manuals had sections on tricks and try this or that. If you've received enough feedback by publication date, it could be helpful to have suggestions such as how one filter system may behave differently on Red than Sony or Arri or whatever.

And if price is no object, I would like the manual refer to a section of your website where examples can be seen if x or y is done. Successful clips of footage doing this or that, how they were achieved, lens, f stops, field conditions, etc. would be invaluable.
