I assume the DVI splitter cables that come with the RED Rocket card are simply for connecting to the Breakout Box; and for those people with just a card and no BOB, the normal route would be to use the HD-SDI outputs to drive a dual-link HD-SDI monitor. Am I right?

OR you use them for plugging into normal DVI monitors. The plugs on the RED ROCKET are not normal DVI connectors, and require the splitter to interface with normal DVI.

I guess that needs to be a dual-link DVI-D cable coming off the splitter, correct? I'm not getting any signal through a single-link DVI-D cable.

Single link coming off the splitter works just fine, as does single link to HDMI coming off the splitter cable. Be sure you have it plugged into the right one. Beyond that, what monitor are you using and does it accept the mode you're sending to it?

Hi Jeff; I tried the other leg of the splitter and still no signal. Monitor (JVC DT-V24G1Z) says no sync when I switch to DVI. The dual-link HD-SDI works. Mixed performance though; sometimes it works flawlessly with beautiful picture; sometimes I get small dropouts; sometimes large chunks of garbage; sometimes it freezes up.
