Someone told me the Red Rocket was not available yet, and yet some say they've been using it already.
Is it available or not?
My computer guy needs to know it's specs and requirements, so he can make sure to build the computer with the right "stuff" to handle it. Would you be kind enough to tell me what those are?
Will I "really" need a Red Rocket card to download and manipulate Scarlet data in my Windows PC ? I will be using Adobe Premier Pro CS5 for editing. I just don't want to have to pay over $4,700.oo if I don't "have" to.
Thanks.

It's always a question of time over cost. You don't "have" to have a rocket card if you can edit a 1/4 or 1/8 debayer then go back to a full debayer for final render etc. If that fits into your schedule and needs, then no card needed. If you are looking to process lots of footage, or want to screen 4K on set in real time, etc. then the card has a huge value.

Yes it is. In fact I just ordered two of them and they arrived on Monday. We are very pleased with the performance so far. Especially when rendering out full debayer for finish.

I'm sorry for my ignorance on this, but "debayer"? What's a debayer ?
I still need to know the specs and requirements for my computer guy. Will someone kindly tell me those, or how to find that info ?
Thanks.
