Use bottom of basic production pack with other cameras?

Can the bottom part of the basic production pack (bottom plate, shoulder dovetail, handle, and rods) be used with other cameras that do not have a shoulder mount (Pana HVX, Canon XH-A1, Sony XDCAM-EX, etc) using the tripod thread?

Hi,

I would say yes they ought to work with other cameras. After all the principles of Red's designs are founded in what is currently available and working. See ARRI gear.

I'd also say that you will not be able to buy any accessories until at least a significant amount of Red orders have been shifted. Jim's already stated that scheduled delivery dates have shifted from the 10th of each month to the 30th because of delays with accessories for reservationists. I'm sure once they get on top of it they will be happy to sell the accessories.
