View Full Version : A little help required from kindly souls in the UK!...

Hi all,

I have a massive favour to ask, and I'd like to make it clear I'm not assuming anyone will be able to help, but you never know and if you don't ask you don't get, so here goes!...

As some of you may know, we had our Red kit stolen via a fraudulent hire last August - the good news is we finally managed to recover most of it having finally tracked down the cuplrit, the bad news being we are still missing some bits and pieces, most notably all of our batteries and chargers and two Red Drives.

I'm about to embark on a 4-day shoot for a low budget short, and we have some friends down here in Brighton who've been great and looked after us with lends of Red equipment (both full kits and the odd bits and pieces) over this whole horrible ordeal, but unfortunately their camera is busy exactly when we need it and at short notice.

I've got some enquiries out to rental houses, but frankly we are up to the limit of our budget already and we (particularly the producer!) would love to avoid spending too much more at this point - so....

If anyone has a few (perhaps four) Red Brick batteries and a Red Drive or two available over Mon 7th - Thurs 10th June inclusive, and would be willing to help us out completing our kit - either for a small fee or for eternal love and gratitude (also including a return favour at no extra charge!), then please do get in touch via dom [at] fracturedfilms [dot] com and make my day!! We'll be shooting in London and can of course arrange pickup and drop off...

The boring but important bits are that we are a professional production company with full insurance (that we'd be more than happy to provide a copy of, of course) and I am a professional DP, with an excellent AC on-board, and the kit will be under our direct supervision the entire time.

Thanks to anyone who's taken the time to read through this, regardless of whether or not you can help...

All the best everyone,
Dom.

I have only just read this post, so probably too late for you.

But I am fairly local to you (25 miles from Brighton) and have 2 batteries and a RAID that I could have lent you.

Send me a PM if you have trouble in future!
