Can any one explain how having 2 REDRockets in a Mac,really works?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe there is any benefit in the Mac. I know Assimilate Scratch has been enabled to utilize parallel REDRockets for 3D workflows but I'm unaware of other commercially available software that currently does so.
