Sean, right now I am in a world of hurt on my configuration. I have an Arriflex FF2 follow focus that needs 15mm offset from 100mm separation. I can't figure out how to attach it! I don't want to buy the Arri plate adapter because I still want to use the production pack with the 19mm rods. Any ideas?

Doesnt the 15mm adapter fit onto the red universal mount? Still sucks cause you;ll have two sets of rods. Also is the 15mm adapter (not the base plate) LW or full size 15mm?

EDIT: Looked at the site again, and what they have listed as the 15mm adapter does indeed look like LW 15mm not the full size kind.

Shawn you could get offset insert rings for the 19mm baseplate and use 15mm rods with the ff2. that should work.

I'm having a hard time myself trying to figure out the accessories.
The cost on the basic pack is $1250.00 on the RED site. When you add up all the pieces that are listed as included the total adds up to closer to $3000.00
What am I missing? The parts seem pretty self explanatory, but without a description one can't know for sure.
Or is there an error in some individual parts pricing? Thanks for any help...

Jim has said that, in retrospect, they vastly underestimated the cost of the basic and the premiere production packs when they were priced out around NAB '07, but, in good faith, he has decided to keep the price of the basic one the same as advertised, although it would have driven him into bankruptcy to offer the advertised deal on the premiere one. ;-)

Long live King James the RED!!!

Hey Shawn,

I'm in the same boat...Arri ff2 w/ Arri MB-18 (both 15mm rod based). I plan on getting RED's 15mm Arri base plate and some step down rings for the hand held handles. I am just courious to know if I can still mount the battery/drive with this configuration.

Any thoughts?
