Hi There,
Could somebody explain to me what the purpose of each of these items is please:
Red Bottom Plate
Red Cheese Plate
Arri 15mm/19mm Bases
150mm/100mm Ball Adaptors
Mitchell Base Mount
What I'm interested in is do I need these things and what options will they provide me with?
Thanks.

Wrote to Red yesterday about exactly the same questions. Do I need the cheeseplate to get the cam on a professional tripod ? Or does the button plate do the job also ?

The Red Bottom Plate is required to mount the Red Cheese Plate and Red Shoulder Dovetail.
The Red Bottom Plate (RBP) provides you with 19mm rod mounts and the ability to attach the Red Cheese Plate and Red Shoulder Dovetail. The RBP is connected to the camera by 4x M4 Allan Key Bolts, 2 each side.
The Red Shoulder Dovetail (RSD) allows to go to the shoulder from a tripod mount quickly as the tripod snap plate is mounted to the bottom of the RSD. You must have the RBP to use the RSD.
The Red Cheese Plate (RCP) mounts into the Red Bottom Plate (RBP) giving you a solid platform for attaching the camera to just about anything.
The Red 15mm and 19mm bases are for those that already own Arri BP-6's etc It replaces the Arri 19/15mm rod mount but retains the use of the Arri Dove Plate.
150mm/100mm Ball Adaptors, Mitchell Base Mount are options for the Red Cart.

No you can mount a tripod snap plate direct to the bottom of the Red body

The Red cheese plate looks like it is meant for universal mounting when you are utilizing the bottom rail system. It should give a rock solid connection to just about anything. With Red's Modularity I don't see why you couldn't bolt it to the top of the camera to get some really interesting low-slung shots.
