Hope these shots make the assembly clearer.
The Red Bottom Plate is removed from the camera body and the Cheese Plate is secured by 2 Allan screws to the RBP.
The RBP is then mounted to the camera, The last image shows what the bottom of the Red camera would now look like with the Cheese Plate insert.
