Hi - the dollar is at an all time low - can we pay for our red kits now as opposed to when we take delivery (mine in due in Jan approx) - I plan on going through a financing company.

Yeah, wait a year. Inflation. Inflation.

But nonetheless can we pay early - anyone from RED?

There are many companies that will let you commit buy dollars at a future point at todays exchange rate. Those are the sort of companies that will likely give you a better exchange rate too than regular banks. If you think to just pay on a credit card you may be a little dissapointed with the exchange rate you get. Many people here seem very concerned with costs. HOW you pay may be important.

Go to your bank, tell the cashier that you would like to buy dollars. Get the dollars and put them in a safety deposit box, wait until your number to get up Take it out and wire it to Red. Problem solved. =)

or a wait some more days, some experts see the dollar at 1,42 in a few weeks.

I'm playing the waiting game... ohhh soo much fun. =) I think the dollar will fall another 6% before it goes up again... but I don't know when. =)

Hi,

Just open a foreign currency account with your bank and get your euro's, pounds or whatever currency you want changing exchanged at the best possible rate you can find and then leave it in the account. You'll continue to accrue interest on the money and have the correct currency for when your payment comes around.

Thats not actually correct as the bank will always retransfer the currency to the euro and back again to wire it - making the transaction redundant.

Again I ask - can we simply pay now?

Jim, you should have founded the company in Ireland or Switzerland. The swiss franc would have been the best compromise so far. And it's so beautiful over here.
