Hi Folks.
Is there an opportunity to use the new 16 GB CF Cards like SanDisk Extreme® III CompactFlash®? Or do we have to we wait until Extreme IV 16GB is available?
Or is RED ONE only working with RED CF Cards? And if so, when can we get it?
Now there are only 4,5 minutes on 8 GB, but 9 minutes with 16 GB would be like shooting on film...
I really like to have it as fast as possible!

AFAIK 16gb extreme III won't cut the mustard. PQI has a 300x speed CF card that has been announced but I have not seen it for sale anywhere. Hopefully RED can scoop it up to give it a whirl.

I remember Jim mentioning a certified list of tested and compatible cards.

My research indicates that the Sandisk Extreme III 16GB can only sustain 133x speeds.

Does Red use all 300x of the Red cards? What is the actual data rate being recorded?

Someone said October for the RED 16GB CF cards but it was hearsay not RED? I am excited about 64GB and beyond next year (?) for underwater applications. Reduser will be the first to know when they do ship.

Ted told me at IBC that the Red 16GB cards would be available in about a month. He didn't have a price at the time. He also said that the 32GB cards will be around 2 months after that.
