I would just cut out a lot of the guessing or poking around and call BM directly, you'll probably get all your answers there and they can probably give you the best workflow and equipment solutions in compatibility in doing what you want to do.

The TV supports native (frame packed), side-by-side, and over-under. I believe the Decklink will output side-by-side.

Its an HDMI 1.3 device, so no infoframe, which means you will manually have to put the TV into side-by-side mode.

as far as 3d workflow goes, i know avid offers a stereoscopic workflow, and the only apple workflow I know of involves cineform 3d.

i think u'd need a combination of decklink 3d + hdlink pro 3d
for 3d, u'd feed 2 channels out of sdis into hdlink pro and then out of its display port to dp/hdmi/dvi/etc.

i'm not sure for the hdmi alone

though 3d is far for me for now,
i'm in the process of getting that config. i'll use hdlinkpro for 10bit to hdmi output for redrocket anyway
and decklink card is needed for davinci as well

The best option is probably the Dimension-3D from Doremi. It offers frame packing, which will give you full resolution in both eyes. Side-by-side and over-under (top-bottom) cuts resolution in half.

I am using SCRATCH, but have not picked up a 2nd Rocket yet. Soon.

Hi,

The firmware required for HD Extreme 3D is not released yet. Once it's out, you will be able to play out 2 HD-SDI streams, your left and right eye, and also a side by side, line by line or top and bottom HDMI output to your TV.

HD Extreme 3D will not support HDMI 1.4 3D (frame packing). To get HDMI 1.4, you'll need to send the 2 streams to the upcoming HDLink Pro 3D.
