Is it possible to use dual EVFs to monitor 3D, as an alternative to the multiplexer world?

It's been discussed on here multiple times. With the new Bomb Evf's it is a possibility b/c of their smaller size, whereas before the original Red Evf's were a little too large and could not be close enough to view with both eyes. Here is one of the mock-ups Red has shown:

It is possible with the new Bomb evf as per Ted when I asked him. I bought 10 of them for that reason so I hope so. You can already flip the image in the R1 so it should work.

You should be careful if you do this, particularly if you do not have a lot of 3D experience. The main benefit of looking at the multiplexed L/R images is that it allows you to gauge on screen parallax values. When each of your own eyes can only see the independent camera images (rather than both images in overlay on a 2D screen) you lose this ability. Additionally, how would you align your rig without looking at a muxed image? I would recommend against using dual EVF as an alternative to muxed view, it could be a good addition to a package that includes it though.
