Hi all,
Only just noticed this (http://www.red.com/store/product_detail/85) in the red store myself. Sorry if it's already been pointed out but I thought this was quite interesting. 32GB offers better bang for buck than compact flash. It will be interesting to see how much Red's 32GB CF cards come in at by comparison.

Why would anyone buy the CF port if you can get this for $600 plus the port for $500? Besides being cheaper, it hopefully will be available by Jan/Feb--at which point CF will probably only be at 16 GB a card.
What I really want is a RED drive that has 2 128GB 2.5" SSD's.

Hi Matthew,
Perhaps that's what the RedDrive Flash is, see this post (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4863).

I hope that 2 64GB SSD's in a RED Drive case isn't going to cost $4500. It seems like I've read in a couple of places that a 64 GB 2.5" SSD was supposed to run around $400 each. If they really are that price I would expect they would charge around $1500 for the drives/case/technology.
I've also gotta say Paul, you look exactly like someone I know. Every time I see your icon I think of him:)

I am guessing this is one of the new SSD hard drives that are starting to be
used in notebooks.
