Hey,

I'm looking to rent a bunch of production equipment the first week of August (1st-8th), and was wondering if people had advice.
I'd rather not go the route of rental houses because they tend to be more expensive than if you deal with people person-to-person.

Any advice?
If you are someone that is sitting on a bunch of equipment during that week and would like the extra dough, please PM me or email me here: nick.singer@gmail.com.

I'm looking for: lights, sound equipment, dolly and track, car mounts, and telephoto, macro, and FAST lenses for the red. Send me an equipment list, preferably with rental prices if you have it. And also mention if a full package is negotiable.

Thanks,
Nick

You should go with a rental house, if there is any problems you will get back ups, extras, support, back up bodies, Plus You have a much larger choice of lenses. When you need to get a hold of someone at 2am on Sunday you can. Good luck with your choice. There are many good rental houses in NYC. The gear that owner operators have is usually not the same, most rental houses have modified the gear to stand up to day to day shooting schedules.
