Now that looks divine.

(And if anyone says "Love it but I would have graded it differently," I wanna kick their arse.)

Bingo! Very beautifull and professionell, oh, I love professionell lit movies, oh I love that. It is like a breath of fresh air and the proove: RED can do it, the quality depends on the team behind the camera.

Sorry, was dead tired last night. Camera performed well, had a few bugs that needed a simple reboot (video asst going really dark for no reason - seems to be fixed in the newest camera build which was last night)

Used:
hd/sdi out
judged image with false color (great tool)
shot with the red 18-50 @ 32mm
asa 320
1/48 shutter
straight to CF card
mostly defaults on the cam.
no filters - clean lens
shot 23.98
sync'd audio in post (audio not enabled on cam yet)
Could have softened the skin in post but didn't
Sent video to client on set with an hd/sdi monitor with hd/sdi out.
My only complaint is that i kinda got sick off the food on set =)

Overall everyone was really happy. Client was stoked to be the first to use it on a professional level as well. The camera has a great buzz up here in the city.

Will post other pics from shoots later this week.

BTW on a side note I want to express how happy I am with the level of customer support Red has been providing over the last couple of weeks. Everytime we call in with a new problem the guys are all over it, we've had backordered stuff shipped to us blazing fast, as well as extra parts we forgot to grab while we were down there.

Thanks RED TEAM!

Cheers

Today's shoot footage

No big problems today - asa 320, bg was rated at f16, ladies face was f4. I lit it with a 5k through a light grid with light tools, 2x blondes through bleach muslin for fill - 1k through 216 for backlight, 5x 2k zips blasting out a crappy white wrinkled fabric in the bg.

Sweet! I'm curious to see how many people in Toronto will end up with REDs, as well as the various rental outfits, SIM, Clairmont etc. I know the guys at Clairmont are certainly aware of it, but hopefully they'll all pick up a few.

I personally know of 95 that have been ordered and 3 that are already here. Wow.

Because this is for-hire work. Somebody else owns it, and the shit would hit the fan if the agency saw unedited footage from their shoot on the internet.
